Repetition, a little mouse to find on each spread, over the top reactions - the ingredients of a fun picture book but the writing was a bit stilted.

Deadpan hilarious. Owl can't find what's making the noise that's keeping him awake. So he begins to take apart his house board by board until he finds the source. Reminds me of myself, looking for the source of some electronic beep in the night (iPhone? Ipad? Kindle? Smoke alarm? Battery charger? What?)

I have to be honest when I say the reason I picked up Greg Pizzoli's "Good Night Owl" was that I too have had that look on my face when I settle down with a book at the end of the day (and realize that I forgot something).

I found myself thinking (and chuckling) that Owl needed to jump to such actions by the midpoint of the book. The excessiveness of his reaction to the noise he keeps hearing makes the story silly, buy not entirely laugh out loud funny. Regardless, young readers (with the right storyteller) will find it fun and funny.

Quaint and sweet, the book could be a cute book to include in a story time session.

Random noises at bedtime are interesting. It could be a noise that has been occurring all day but you do not notice it till things get quiet.

This is cute but it gets a little weird. I'm not entirely sure if its good weird or bad weird. My 3 year old loves it though.

Quick read. Light-hearted. Silly enough for a 3.5-year-old.

Silly story about an owl who destroys his house trying to find the noise that’s keeping him awake.
