Thanks Netgalley for a copy to read and review.

Wow, what a ride. This story about killed me to get through. Fabulous writing but Griffin was such a piece of work that it took awhile to actually wade through his gigantic ego. This book captured me with the interesting conversations and the nutty inner dialogue that Griffin couldn't stop spouting. Still even though I hated Griffin, I couldn't put the book down. It was like a train wreck, I just had to know how the hell they were going to nut check this guy. Anna was just a brave girl, but she was my hero by the end. Fascinating book and great ending! Four stars!

This book was a train wreck. Like one of those books that make you feel all awkward and you can't put it down. Griffin was an idiot, I'm not going to lie. He is the most socially awkward and ego saturated fool that I've seen in quite sometime. Some things that he did made me cringe.... Still a dbag fan though and loved the ending. Four stars. Superb writing but just couldn't give that idiot five stars.... So four for me!

I underestimated how badly I hated Griffin. Yes I was happy about the whole redemption story, but it was nice to seem him stew in his bad decisions. Does that make me mean? Yep, but most times the hard truth is just that, a very difficult, humbling lesson that you will never ever forget in your life. But I am glad to be done with this!

GRIFFIN, what happened to you??
I'm so disappointed.

This is 100% not the Griffin we knew and loved in the Thoughtless books. Yes, in those books he's a bit of a dick and he would say things to annoy them, but he wasn't this bad. He'd say and do things to upset the people around him, and end up being stuck and alone with only himself to blame.
His ego was massive, he was attention-seeking, fame hungry and was so me me me all the time. Dude - you're a father! Fucking act like one.
I hate people like this, so it's natural that I disliked him in this book. I tried not to hate him, but I did.
Griffin in the end fucking things up so bad that he finally realised what a fucking idiot he is.

His decisions were awful, he'd not listen to anyone who cared about him and make such poor judgments. During this whole book, my face was pretty much like this

like, seriously mate. What is wrong with you? And the amount of lies he told Anna was fucking ridiculous. The thing about Griffin in the Thoughtless books is that he's very honest, which is why he always puts his foot in his mouth, but it's always harmless stuff. Stuff people could laugh about and forget. Not this book though, there was so much lying and going behind Anna's back, and so much 'I'M AWESOME AND BETTER THAN EVERYONE'. It got boring really fast.

And the amount of times the word 'awesome' was used.

Jeeze.

(Just like to point out - there's no cheating in this book, in case you're wondering. It is Griffin, after all)

He screwed up his future, the band, and everything for his wife and children. He really went too far, and it was his own fault. Not him, but this new him. Urgh, I don't like him at all.

It's funny because around the 70% mark, he suddenly changed and he was this other person. I don't want to spoil it too much, but it was as if the reverse button was pushed and he turned into fucking Mother Theresa.

He even started a fucking charity!

what the..

And don't get me started on all the other characters. Kellan and Evan had no opinions on anything (which is unlike Kellan), Kiera was this wise old Dumbledore, Anna was a doormat who had no backbone and just had sex with Griffin and was a baby-machine. Griffin's family were uninteresting and the rest of the characters were unimportant. Le sigh...they're not the characters I know and love at all!

I also think the story was pointless. I don't understand what we're supposed to get from this? It started with them as the D-Bags and ended the same, only with people respecting Griffin less and them having more children. It's not really done anything for the Thoughtless-verse at all, and I would have preferred the series to have ended where the Reckless epilogue finished. I adore the Reckless epilogue, it's so cute and sweet, and a perfect ending to the story. This epilogue? Babies.

So many babies

BABIES EVERYWHERE

It's definitely the fluffiest epilogue I've ever read, and if you like that, then you'll for sure love this one. I did, but even I was like 'alright...enough now' haha. So much pairing off and trying too hard to make sure everyone is happy. We know they're happy, no need to beat it over our heads.

So yes, I'm quite disappointed with this book. It's not at all what I wanted or expected, and I hate to say this, but I won't be re-reading this one. I will be re-reading and re-listening to the other books though because I love the series. Just not impressed with this one.

I'm sorry.

1.5 stars.

I'm pretty saddened that I didn't love this book. Griffin was (oddly) my favorite part of the Thoughtless series, so I assumed I'd LOVE his story.

It was not to be.

I struggled even getting into the story, and not for lack of trying. Several times I'd put Untamed down and try something else, thinking maybe I was in a reading funk. But I managed to finish other books just fine.

The issues? Maybe because this version of Griffin was insanely unlikable? Yes, he was always cocky, but that had always been part of his charm. This was something else entirely. He came across as an immature douche bag - for lack of a better descriptor.
Also, the story drags. And the old characters we love (and love to hate) were disappointing, too. Maybe it would've been better left unwritten, or even as a novella filled with babies.

As per usual, S C Stephens writing was addictive and hard to put down again, but Griffin is no Kellan! I missed my Kellan Kyle to be honest. It was great to see Griffin grow from his mistakes, but it was also annoying to read about him making them. 3.5 stars.

Finally finished this whole series! lol
Griffin Hancock is tired of being stuck behind Kellan Kyle's spotlight. He's the best, the main event, and everyone should know it. He has Anna, and his beautiful daughters Gibson & Onnika, to hell with the rest of them.
Griffin is annoying at times but he has a soft spot in my heart.
This book will put you in an up and down roller coaster of emotions. You will want to slap, punch the Hero, but also fall in love with him at the same time. haha Glad I finally finished it.

This is not a Kellan and Kiera book. It doesn't read like one either. Griffin is crass and rude and horny. It was hard for me to read from his point of view. But then I began to root for him and even became a fan.

I'm not sure I've ever wanted to love a book which I didn't, as much as this one. I absolutely loved Griffin in the final book of the Thoughtless series, and I was so excited for him to get his own book. In fact, I was one of the fans begging the author for a Griffin book!

Instead of devouring the book like I thought I would, I found it really hard to get in to, and I kept putting down. Half of the time I felt awkward and sorry for Griffin because of the way absolutely everyone besides Anna and Gibson treated him, but the other half of the time I thought he was the biggest douche around, and I really didn't like who he was.

Between the way he acted and the way he was treated, the only redeeming quality of this entire book was the way he was with Anna and Gibson. You could tell he adored them, and THAT was the Griffin I loved. I Griffin I thought he had grown in to during the course of Reckless. But apparently not. He put the D in DBags.
