Yup its a guilty pleasure, these books! Gotta LOVE some Gideon Cross though! Bummed that she's making us wait for yet another!

So I loved this, minus how it was written. I don't know why, but I kept getting annoyed at the paragraphs being all different days or moments, it all felt too short and sharp. That being said, I think this was my favourite yet! Gideons POV made this book. I'm glad it went back and forth, as Eva's reactions were interesting, but it was great to see gideons real fear for losing Eva and his struggles to communicate. After however many years, he's finally opening and flourishing like a flower, allowing himself to become vulnerable. And that was just beautiful.

So this is my least favorite book in the series. Feels rushed and barely reads in the first person, drove me crazy because I couldn’t connect with the characters like previously. But don’t give up. The next book goes back to its normal tantalizing spicy ness

ugh; yes - all the back & forth & running away drama is getting SO old. this book made me start to dislike Eva. she made Gideon chase her all through books 1-3 & again now in book 4. & for some reason i feel like the argument that sparred it was not nearly as bad as the arguments that sparred the others... why was this one so much worse? idk. regardless of all that, i'm still totally invested in this relationship; the end really had me in my feels. i'm absolutely loving the series - i've already started book 5.

Gideon and Eva love story continues in the fourth book of a five book series. This book shows character development and growth, but not much happens in regards to the plot. Don’t get me wrong, I loved reading more about their love and how much they will do for each other to make it work.
They learnt more about each other and more importantly, about themselves and what they want to achieve. They are still young. They still have so much to come and they want to make sure they face it all together, with nothing in their way.
This book lost a star for me. The story wasn’t as captivating, ironic with the title.
3.5 Stars.

Full Review on my blog!
I reviewed this a while ago, but never got the chance to post it, so I guess I'll post it now.
The fourth installment of the Crossfire series wasn’t perfect, but it was still an entertaining and enjoyable read for me. Gideon Cross. I can’t get enough of one of my favorite damaged men. The way he’s able to be completely alpha, powerful and domineering, yet also broken and scarred, he’s just one of my original favorites. Eva isn’t perfect. There have been times she’s annoyed me, got under my skin, but overall I do like her. I love how she’s just as crazy for Gideon as she is for him.
The majority of this book is the couple adjusting to being a married couple. There is some drama with both of their ex’s, some drama with their friends, some drama with their jobs, and some family drama. But up till the end, not a ton of drama between them. Which I found refreshing.
I absolutely adore this couple, I've loved every part of their story so far. I recommend it!

He was complicated and sexy and damaged and perfect.

“You two are wackjobs separately, together, you’re a goddamn nut house.”
