Your uncle Aaron passed down his copy of this book. You love it! We keep it in your play area and read it all the time.

I really do wish my nieces would come to my house more often so we could read more, these are so much fun.

Look — am I embarrassed to have logged this book — sure. I found myself reading this at my nephew’s house. And Eric Carle is an author and illustrator I respect deeply. His drawings are always simple but beautiful and distinctive — something also seen in this book. And his books often simple yet carries a message important. Here — the message being perhaps that we are all self centred — viewing people as seeing ourselves when in fact they are not. The only people who don’t act that way and instead see the world as simply seeing it and not a world looking at them are children. In a way — this book reminded me of The Little Prince — a book I love.

Written by award winning author Bill Martin Jr., in this classic book, the different animals notice each other from across the page! The illustrations in this story will be sure to mesmerize each reader while they learn about colors and different rhymes. This book is simple and can help the reading comprehension of young children. Appropriate for preschoolers and kindergarteners, this can be used in class to help learn color recognition and animals. With its simple rhyme, students can also learn about phonic elements like digraphs and blends.

Great for small children and beginning readers. They can feel like they can "read" by using the pattern and the pictures. One of the best!

My son is currently obsessed with this book. He's writing his own. He reads it to me. He reads it to his brothers. He invented a song.
