A strong addition to the Mercy Thompson Series.

The kidnapping premise...is getting tired. I appreciate that Briggs attempts to remove the stereotypical aspect of this trope by constantly asserting that Mercy saves herself, and is never in fact "rescued". However, the repetition served only to remind me how annoying the trope is it's overuse.

This being said, this was a fun read. There's a fair bit of time spent with Mercy by herself; which allows for some lovely development. We learn a lot about Mercy's here-to unexplored skills related to ghosts, and how this power relates to her Coyote background.

Ultimately, if you like the other novels in this series, you will enjoy this instalment.

It has been 3 years since I read the last book in the series and maybe I did myself an injustice waiting so long. I did feel that sense of familiarity getting back into Mercy's world. Mercy will always be a comfort character for me. This is the longest series I have actually tried to keep up with. I do wonder if I will continue though. I would like to know a satisfying conclusion is somewhere on the horizon.

I enjoyed this story overall, but I can't remember if the story was ever told from Adam's perspective before. I was thrown off by that and that along with the time skips felt too disjointed for my liking. I of course loved all our characters and watching as Mercy has to weasel her way out of another predicament. I will check out the next one, but I kind of feel like I miss the early books before Adam was Mercy's mate. I liked the budding relationship and love square going on.

I did like seeing Mercy's gifts be expanded on and seeing the vampires being explored, but it wasn't enough to bring out my love for the series again. I won't wait as long to pick up book 11 and hopefully that will have me singing a different tune. Overall I liked this and this series will always hold a special place in my heart.

What can I say? If your a fan of Mercy it is yet another addition to this addictive series. I enjoy the characters and the stories. Can't really pick any nits of this versus others it might not be the best Mercy Thompson book but like they all are it is a good one. I can pretty much guarantee Patrica that I will pre-order the next one.

I received Silence Fallen in return for review from the publisher.
Mercy is making cookies but is forced to run to the store for more chocolate chips which should be a routine trip. However, while leaving the store her SUV is hit and she's kidnapped by a strange vampire who wants more than he let's on. She finds herself in a strange country with a dangerous threat looming forced to risk it she flees into a strange countryside. All she has to do is find a safe place to hide till Adam and the crew can get to her but as it's Mercy it may be hard to do.

When his wife is kidnapped by strange vampires Adam will stop at nothing to bring her back. Even teaming up with the Vampire master of the city who happens to have a connection to the vampire who kidnapped Mercy. They will need to play their cards just right if they want to find her getting out of Milan won't be an easy task but they are willing to enter the lion's den for her. With friends at his back hopefully, Adam can keep his cool long enough to save Mercy who holds them all together.

I love Mercy so much!!! She's one of my favorite characters and has been since I read her first book Moon Called years ago. She's one of those characters who captures your heart and as she just keeps evolving through the books you love her more. She's got a special place in my heart, and will always be my favorite coyote. I love Adam he's a perfect partner for her because he really understands her in ways no one else would.

I've been eagerly waiting to get my hands on Silence Fallen and when I finally had the chance to dive right in it was hard to put down. I actually finished it in just 24 hours and would have been quicker if not for this cold. I love the world the author has created mixing the werewolves with the vampire and fae all living in the Tri-Cities it just works so well. Silence Fallen is an action-packed, whirlwind adventure, that pushes Mercy to accept her destiny a little more and Adam to play the game. The author has done another amazing job creating a captivating story that is hard to put down, capturing the heart as well as the imagination. I love all the twists and turns throughout the story. I highly recommend taking a chance on Mercy Thompson's books you won't be disappointed they just keep getting better with each book. I loved it so much!!!!

3 days and 2 nights, but only because I have two small children. Usually, I'd just stay up reading until I finished it all in one go! I love me some Mercy!

Another fun, quirky, well written Mercy book! I enjoy these so much. The male narrator took a little while for me to get used to, simply because it wasn’t the voice I had in my head for Adam. However, once I got into the story that didn’t matter and I enjoyed every minute of it. It’s so interesting to see how all the personalities and histories of all the characters continue to be flushed out and grown. I really liked the little bit of history with the Golem and really want to do some research.

I love and appreciate the cast of characters list. Makes such a difference with memory and attention problems as we wait between releases.
