I absolutely loved this story to start the conversation on learning disabilities and overall neurodiversity. Especially being able to see the actual notebooks written by Abdul and Mr. Muhammad.

I loved the direct link between support and inspiration drawn in this story. I also loved that making mistakes is not a barrier to doing what you love! It's just part of the process.

Cute story about a boy’s writing

This is a nice story about a boy who doesn't think he can be a writer because his writing is messy and he makes so many mistakes. With the help of a special teacher, he realizes that he *is* a writer and that no one's work is perfect at first, it's okay to be messy, to make mistakes, and to still tell your stories.

A boy who has many stories in his head has a hard time writing them down neatly and nearly gives up.
Love the cast of Muslim characters!
