4/5š¶ļø, MF, CR, romcom, past high school nemesis, workplace, standalone, part of a series, Kobo ebook (freebie)
This was a fun book full of banter and found family aspects. This book is about two past school rivals who now have to work together and eventually for a friends with benefits relationship. The common enemy and side plots were a bit gimmicky and slapstick comedy, very typical romcom stuff, but where this book shined was in the coupleās relationship. Both characters were fully fleshed out, had lives and friends. I liked their progression from irritation to admiration to infatuation, how teasing and competition went from annoyance to foreplay. Plus the sexual scenes were great. Not only were they hot and fun but balanced, no one character was ever fully dominant and both talked dirty. I really like when both parties are fully into sex and both give and take equally. The MMC didnāt say āyouāre mineā instead he said ātell me Iām yoursā, which I found especially romantic (and refreshing). I think Iām a fan of Roxie Noirās writing now, and canāt wait to read more.

Roxie Noirās Enemies with Benefits is a steamy and entertaining take on the enemies-to-lovers trope. The sizzling chemistry and witty banter between the MCs and the engaging storyline makes this a fun escape into the world of love and passion.
The story is told in first person with dual POV. It follows Elijah and Violet, two childhood enemies, who find themselves working at the same wedding planning company. Despite their initial animosity, sparks fly between them, leading to a fiery and passionate relationship that neither of them saw coming.
Watching Eli and Violetās relationship evolve is quite believable. Their journey is not without challenges, but ultimately, they discover that sometimes the person you least expect can become your greatest ally.
While the plot follows some familiar tropes of the enemies-to-lovers genre, thereās humor, heart, and originality. Itās a quick, lighthearted read that will appeal to fans of contemporary romance. However, due to the explicit scenes, it might not be everybodyās cup of tea!

I donāt know what happened with this one boy I just got bored.
After about the 50% mark I found that I couldnāt pick it back up. But I eventually forced myself to finish it but there was a lot of skimming!
