Sicuramente rientrerà nella libreria dei miei libri preferiti. Riassumo alcune caratteristiche di questo libro che possono essere utili:
1- è un libro impegnativo (ma non troppo), questo è vero, infondo state leggendo un classico russo che non può avere la facilità di lettura di un fantasy, avrà alcuni momenti più lenti ma non è solo così. Questo libro infatti nonostante richieda un attenzione particolare, se letto in un momento adatto scorre anche molto velocemente, soprattutto nei punti salienti, considerando che è stato scritto circa 150 anni fa diciamo che non ha la pesantezza asfissiante di un classicone noioso, anzi, tutt'altro.
2- Il dubbio, questo libro ti mette sempre in dubbio, non solo la tua visione dell'omicidio in generale ma anche il tuo rapporto con la morale. Ci saranno momenti in cui ci si ritrova a "tifare" in un certo senso per il protagonista nonostante abbia commesso dal punto di vista morale un crimine orribile. 
3- Archi narrativi, questo libro si articola anche su altri livelli di complessità, in particolare si organizza su diversi archi narrativi, anche le vicende che accadono alle persone che sono intorno al protagonista denotano una società marcia e malata, si parla infatti di degrado, prostituzione, morte e malattie mentali oltre che fisiche. 

Che dire, a me è piaciuto veramente tanto, consiglierei però di prepararsi psicologicamente prima di questo libro perchè è impegnativo sia come lettura che come contenuti

I'd wouldn't recommend this book to a beginner. I used a dictionary app to help me understand what was going on but nevertheless, enjoyed it.

If you think that you are a morally driven person, I recommend you read this novel. It showcases how difficult and convoluted life can be. It left me speechless, questioning who am I as a person.

Mi crimen fue tener curiosidad y mi castigo leerme este tocho.

¿Una de las mejores novelas de la historia? Sin duda. ¿Qué ha sido un mareo? Lo ha sido. 

Conocemos a Raskólnikov, un joven que, debido a su extrema pobreza y su orgullo, se vio obligado a dejar sus estudios de Derecho, empeñar sus pocos bienes y malvivir en la cochambre. La noticia que de su hermana Dunia se ha prometido sin amor con un hombre adinerado (más buscando el bien de la familia que el suyo propio) hace que finalmente Rakólnikov se decida a matar a una usurera para robarle. Idea un plan sin fisuras, pero su mala salud, tanto física como mental, y el terror a ser descubiertos le empezarán a jugar malas pasadas.

Catalogada generalmente como novela psicológica, filosófica e incluso policíaca, cumple bastante bien con estas definiciones. Dostoyevski hace constantes análisis sobre el bien y el mal, la naturaleza humana y la posibilidad de redención,  a la vez que sus personajes juegan continuamente al gato y al ratón, con la verdad rozándoles las narices, pero sin encontrar prueba materiales o sin querer afrontar la verdad. 

Yo añadiría que es una novela de gestiones. Jamás vi a tanta gente ir de tantos lados sin parar para hacer una cosa, cambiar de idea e ir a hacer otra y pensarlo mejor más tarde. Eso y miles de personajes, todos muy rusos, con sus nombres de rusos, donde a cada uno se lo llama como mínimo de tres formas distintas, y el hecho de que sea una novela de entregas y se cobrase al peso o por palabra escrita... pues no la hacen precisamente una lectura ligera. 

Podríamos extraer interesantes conclusiones, como la necesidad del arrepentimiento sincero y el trabajo duro para conseguir la redención, la arrogancia como el peor de los vicios o la insignificancia del ser humano. Yo me quedo con que, si vas a asesinar, no te duermas.

Stilted maybe, repetitive yes, especially the way it's translated here, but this is exactly what I needed to read right now, similar to Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki.

“Your worst sin is that you have destroyed and betrayed yourself for nothing.”

 I had way different expectations about what this book was actually about, but once I got over my initial disappointment, I quite enjoyed it. For this many pages, it's surprisingly easy to read and offers a fascinating view of Russia at the time. I love how Dostoevsky plays with the themes in this book - in peak realist literature, we follow a main character who thinks of himself as a true romantic hero (while he is, in reality, a typical realistic one). I loved how vivid all of the characters were. The look into Raskolnikov's mind was fascinating, but I found myself wishing for more detail (as odd as it sounds).
 And in my eyes, the ending, the last chapter elevated the story to a whole another level.

I'm in love with how Raskolnikov chose love and a good ending for himself, and how Dostoevsky signalled to us that no person is ever completely lost. I like the sharp contrast between the main story and the ending - the main story is rather depressing and bleak, while the ending is so hopeful. And I also love how, in retrospect, we were heading to this ending the whole time - despite all of his mistakes, Raskolnikov was dearly loved by several people the whole time. And the unconditional love was what saved him in the end. Beautiful.
