This was EVEN BETTER than the first book! I felt like in the first book the team wasn't accepting the fact they were a team, but in this book they were forced to remain together and they finally accepted that they were meant to be a team. SO GOOD.

This book is very long. But every bit as worth reading as Six of Crows, truly another level of YA fantasy. Detailed descriptions that didn't bore you but animated the plot and brought the book to life. Haven't read quality writing like this in a while! Definitely recommend.

4.5. I am shook at the amount of things that take place in this book (but the book doesn't even feel too busy). I'm so impressed by the scope alone and by how masterfully Leigh Bardugo writes six different perspectives. This book was super different from the first one (many schemes, rather than one big scheme) but it was so cool to see the job within the job within the job and this book kept me guessing at every turn. I also loved getting to learn more about each character's backstory and to watch some of them start to heal from their past traumas.

I’m not mentally stable enough to write another review like the one I just wrote for Six of Crows because now I’m about to cry because I love this book so much. So suffice it to say it’s more of the same amazingness and I’m literally not okay. I cried when this book ended just because it was over and I feel like that is an accurate representation of my probably unhealthy emotions surrounding this series.
