2024 52 Book Club Challenge #28:
A yellow spine
The edition I read was the SF Masterworks hardcover which has a yellow spine.
A classic story. Such imagination for a story written in 1895.

This book had an excellent use of imagery. You could practically see what the Time Traveler character was seeing. What he went through in full detail. To understand the concepts he came up with whilst on his adventures. It also sends the other characters message of mystery and belief, or rather disbelief, to the reader plainly.

Very interesting unique take on Time Travel, would’ve loved a full novel of this story

I decided to read this book after rewatching the original version of The Time Machine movie. This is one of those rare cases where the movie was better than the book. Probably for the time it was groundbreaking. THE TIME MACHINE isn't perfect in the way any novel of any genre isn't perfect. But it is certainly a great leap of imagination that stands almost alone in its time and paved the way for future generations.
