Overall, I like this book. I love the underlying message as well as the character growth that Nikki went through. It's not just about Nikki's love life but also her own identity and relationship with her sister. However, the book suffers a bit of a pacing problem in the middle that I almost checked out. I love how it twists some of the usual trope and blindsided me. And I don't know why, I'm not a fan of Sam as a character. I don't find him unlikeable I just have a hard time finding him as an appealing love interest even though he didn't do anything wrong (nothing further than having very human weakness). I love Nikki's parents & Aasha despite me finding they're kind of an unrealistic portrayal of Asian parents (trust me, I'm Asian). I don't know what to feel honestly. My mom does admits when she's wrong but only at her own term lol. So yeah, that's my benchmark.
