Was really excited for this but, it was just disappointing. I felt like there was more sex scenes than actual plot. And I get that Erin was trying to push Cassie away but it just came off bitchy. Lastly everyone in this book needs therapy.

Age gap romances aren't normally my thing, but this was just the right amount of messy drama to be a fun change of pace.

I did have a couple of frustrations with the book. Erin, the MILF, felt a bit sketched-in at times. Throughout the book, she's working on trying to get a free clinic launched, but while this idea is mentioned several times, and we see her working on it, the details are so incredibly vague as to why she wants it and what her goal is for it.

And as someone who has never experienced campus life, I had some concerns about Cassie's drinking.
We find out pretty early on that Cassie's mother is an alcoholic and drug addict, so it feels weird that only one side character ever addresses Cassie getting sloppy drunk. I know that heavy drinking at parties is a normal college-age thing, but it was so emphasized in the early chapters that I thought this was going to be part of her character arc, when instead her problem drinking mostly resolves itself as her other problems resolve themselves.

On the other hand, one thing I did really like (spoilers for MC's relationship with her own mother):
We learn right off the bat that Cassie is not really in touch with her mom, due to her addictions and generally being a bad mom. No one ever judges Cassie for this choice, and there's no forced reconciliation, nor does the mom show up to serve as a villain.

If age-gap romances (between consenting adults), forbidden romances, temporary long-distance, MILFs, college romance, or messy awkwardness are your jam, this book is a pretty decent read, but I don't think it's good enough to recommend if you're neutral or negative towards the tropes.

This was certainly a fun read, and the sex scenes were admittedly fantastic. I read the whole thing over the course of 48 hours. And there were times I laughed out loud. But I just could not force myself to like the two main characters. Cassie is annoyingly arrogant and conceited. Erin is constantly toeing the line between following her heart and being overly, grossly selfish. The “fuck should” gets annoying after a while. Going to the bathroom to make out with a girl when you’re supposed to be watching your child’s concert? Having sex with this girl when your daughter is literally down the hall? I’m sorry but that’s all a little icky to me. Those are things you “should” NOT do. But Erin doesn’t seem to care because she’s seemingly blinded by sex with a much younger woman and seems willing to throw away everything else to keep having that mind-blowing sex. It’s also strange how Erin notes how gross the fetishization of youth is… just to do exactly that. Just… ew. Ew to all of that. And sometimes I’m like… I just wish I could read a steamy romance that’s about NORMAL people. Not breathtakingly conventionally attractive people that are rich, working their dream jobs, achieving all of their dreams, etc. That’s just so unrealistic. When I read the words “when they bought the lake house” my eyes rolled so far into my head I thought I’d see my brain. Maybe it’s just because like, you know, eat the rich, but I hated that aspect of the story. And I know not ever book is meant to be realistic or whatever. But… anyway. Despite really not liking the characters or feeling connected to any of them, and despite the writing being fine but nothing to write home about, I’m still giving this three stars for the humor and the sex, and for the fact that it’s an easy, fun read overall.

it's cute!  it's not earth-shattering, it's not as good as their first novel, but it's cute!

This book is HOT HOT HOT.. its called  the MILF book for a reason! It was super fun and flirty to read!
I did listen to the audiobook for this title so thank you to the publisher and producers for and early audio arc!

If you're in a slump or just looking to add another queer title to you TBR This one should definitely be on your radar!

You follow Cassie a senior in college just looking for a fun distraction at her local bar. She spots Erin, an older women who seems mature and ways to hot for Cassie. After a fun one night hook up they think they'll never see each other again but what they don't know is they have someone who connects them in a hilarious  way.

It was spicy, if was funny. I cried and related to Cassie in so many ways with her family, her self-image and impostor syndrome. Erin is really the embodiment of Bad bitches have bad days but they're still intelligence, hot, funny and caring- Even with a "good intentions but poor execution"

P.s. There's a shower scene <3

P.s. There's car scene

P.P.p.s There's a strap on scene
