I dont know what happened here. I was all about it for about 60% of the book. I like the storyline, the world, even the characters. BUT the HEA is just too cheesy. I can't handle it. Give me some spunk, snark, darkness.. something! it's just too saccharine.

A huge improvement on the first two books in the series, which very much followed the pattern of broody alpha-vampire takes a liking to oblivious, yet actually very special human female, followed by lots of umming and ahhing, a dash of life-in-peril and then they opt to live happily ever after (not always a bad thing! But still...). Instead, this book sees an emotionally inept immortal who scares everyone find an unlikely connection with an emotionally battered, borderline suicidal human woman, who is actually very special, but mercifully not oblivious. I'm a big fan of flawed characters with well written arcs and I found myself surprised by how much I cared about Tegan and Elise. It will be very interesting to see what happens in book 4, given the male lead - I'm hoping the continued improvement will be apparent.

Okay , its been a while since i had read this but i'ma do a review-ish type thing anyway .
I fuckin loved this book , that's without thought . I was sort of afraid to read this because , i mean , HELLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ! TEGAN IS MY BABY !!! I wanted a strong , take-no-shit female for him . A female that could handle his bluntness and rough edges . Someone who could take him off his game , derail him from his tracks without really meaning to do it .
Phew , i gotta say .... I probably got most of that ( except in a much more calm and softer nature ) .
I was always kind of EH with Elise ..... but i felt like in this book you're really able to get to know her . Not as the widow . Not as the woman who lost her son . But as a person who copes by seeking vengeance in any way she can . My goodness , i had no idea fragile miss little Elise had it in her .
Oh but she did . In her own way she was a fighter , and i grew much respect for her in this book .
Now , with Tegan *Fans herself* , he was just his sexy ass self . I can say though , that there were times where i thought he was being a fucking ASSHOLE to Elise ... but i suppose that's just in his nature since Mr. big and strong doesn't bow down for no one .
Heehee , good thing Elise knew how to take care of that (:

ANYWAYS , as for the plot .... haha i don't remember .

I wasn't super fond of this one because I didn't particularly like the characters. Some of the conversations felt too forced and unrealistic, and towards the end, super sappy and fluffy. I'm super excited for the next book though, because I love Rio, I refused to read the excerpt at the end of this book so I have time to buy it and wait for it to come instead over waiting and losing interest slowly. Guess I better order it!

With a series like this, you always have a favorite character. Tegan is mine. I absolutely love him and everything about him! This story kept me turning the pages and gosh darn it, it was just so good! I know there are more books in the series but this has been my favorite thus far. This series is just too addicting to not read!

Good book. I love Tegan's story and his new found look on life. He's a changed man and Elise was the answer. She's tough as nails and shows us that the women in this series are not just pretty faces. They bring a lot to the table and I'm so glad that Lara Adrian has written as such. I'm confident they will be playing a bigger role in future books.

Another good book by Adrian. This story was about Teagan, the Breed warrior with the most issues and a angsty past. I liked seeing the story from Teagan's point of view. He's not as stuck up as he appears to be in the earlier books now that I know his story. I do hope that he's in the other books a lot as well. I really enjoyed his story.

Just like the previous books, this one is amazing!!! I'm completely hooked!!! She puts such sensual scenes into her books and has kept it hot!! The plot is a wonderful continuation from one book to the next and I can't wait to dig into the next one! These vampires are really unique and each one gets the perfect breedmate! I love, love, love!!!

Follows the back story from book 1 and 2. Tegan and Elise are the focus of the story-line. There are some conclusions made as to the manufacturing of the drugs and the one in charge of making it. Someone more deadly is on the loose, and will lead to more deadly problems in the future.
