This played out like a movie in my head! Action-packed and dark, I absolutely can see why this would make a great movie or show. The writing felt, I’m gunna say simple/straightforward, but it wasn’t like that the whole time. Was definitely a pivot for me from the other stuff I’d been reading. While I was anxious to get through some of the slower parts, it was mostly a page turner and a good read. I don’t think I’ll take on reading the whole series, but will pluck through some of the best ones maybe.

I love to throw in a Jack Reacher book here and there during reading slumps. The sharp, blunt writing style is a welcome break for my mind! No difficult words or concepts, just the facts crisp and clear. I decided to read the books in publication order, so I started with this one. This first installment is a dark, brutal thriller/mystery. Definitely check content warnings before you read!

I love a good action movie. I love James Bond, Jason Borne, ect.

I had watch the show on Amazon Prime first and loved it. It's not everyone's cup of tea but I thought the character of Jack Reacher was so good so I had to read the book!

Now I'm annoyed the show didn't follow the book - the book is so good! It's hard not to enjoy how Reacher see's the world, how he approaches situations and his style of humour.
