Oooooh, this volume was certainly more intense and mainly focused on Zen. We learned about (and saw) his strained relationship with his older brother, Ken, who came to stay for a short while after a bust-up with his girlfriend, and whose dream is to become the world number one boxing champion.

Elsewhere, we discover Zen’s dream (wanting to get his manga scripts published) and see him declare his feelings to Shimana with heartbreaking consequences :’(

Also, Shimana has started to develop feelings for Fujiwara (Mr. Landlord) but he only sees her as a child so once again it’s unrequited love all round!

Personally I think Zen is the ‘one’ for Shimana but I am interested to see what happens between her and Fujiwara <3

This volume didn’t make me laugh out loud quite as much but it’s still an excellent addition to the series!

BRUH 😭😭 Taiga as an older brother figure? Fine, delicious, finally some good food. Taiga as a love interest!? And he reciprocates? JAIL, immediately.
I've got the receipts right here, like he literally thought "I'm a bit...worried about that girl. Jeez! When did I become her dad?" and when Shinama realizes she like likes him, she keeps reminding herself he's "just some old dude." and later even thinks to herself "He definitely thinks of me as a child." YEAH BECAUSE YOU ARE AND HE IS A GROWN ASS MAN WITH A CAREER AS A PROSECUTOR
Zen deserves better, and his older brother can be cellmates with Taiga considering the shit he pulled this volume 🤮🤮
But yet...I will continue it's a train wreck I simply cannot look away from yes i am trash 😔✌🏼

Hmmm, a bit creepy about the age gap, and also that I don’t like Fujiwara lmao. Sorta disappointed with the rejection of the pairing that I liked in favor of Fujiwara. He hasn’t shown any development so I’m hoping that something changes, and also that the creepy age gap is addressed.

Lol I LOVE Zen and Shimana together. They're both a mess and they fit together really well. But Shimana's over there being ridiculous. The way the story is moving is really interesting. It's both expected and unexpected. It's still pretty juvenile and I probably would've enjoyed this way more as a teen, but it's fun.
