3.5⭐️ felt like a filler lowkey like it was a preparation for the good stuff type of thing

I still really enjoyed this volume, but man... Shimana is so annoying.

Yes to more character development, even for Shimana who tends to act a little immature for her age.

She’s naive, childish, too dependable towards others to ‘save’ and/or look after her, a bit gullible and is a hopeless romantic. Shimana tends to be ungrateful at times when treated kindly because of her high expectations for her new unrequited love, which she needs to work on soon.

Yet, even if I don’t like her behavior much, it’s difficult to not empathize with her issues since I’m a lot like Shimana that way. It’s as if I’m looking through my own reflection on another form, it’s a bit unsettling realization to think about.

Moreover, I’ve come to like the cold hearted Taiga since the 2nd volume as he appears the most mature from the group and handles conflicts without letting his emotions take the lead.

His role as the elderly brother in the household made Taiga likable despite his ‘woman hating’ personality and apparent vices. From here on, we’re able to witness he’s got a soft side too, it just so happens he has trouble expressing them well like the others do.

Zen’s got to have the biggest change from them all here. He’s finally gotten an answer regarding his newly discovered love for someone as well. Here’s to hoping he can move on eventually and find a new girl he deserves for himself.

Aaaaand my ship sinks. I am really bumped about Shimana rejecting my boy Zen (It’s okay Zen, I’ll date you). I did like that they still stayed friends afterwards but I was hurt for my little cute boy. I am still hoping that my ship hasn’t entirely sunk and that maybe in future volumes, Shimana will start developing feelings for Zen.

Now I honestly have no idea how I feel about Shimana developing feelings for the Landlord, I mean he’s a cool man and I genuinely like him but he sees her as a child and the age gap is kind of weirding me out a bit. On the other hand, we got introduced to a new character, Ken, who is Zen’s older brother and I am quite interested in seeing how his story will play out from here.

starting to really LOVE this series!

can we first talk about Shimana and Zen?! omg okay like out of everyone I ship them the most. but I feel like there might be someone out there who’s more fit with Zen.

Zen is so cuteeee, and amazingggg and funnyyyy! I hope he could be happy for the rest of his life and I hope for him to find the right girl for him one day too! even if it’s Shimana.

okay so yup knew it.... Shimana likes Taiga now.... and i don’t know what to feel about this because it’s a little um... I’m not really passionate about the idea of them being together. I ship Miku and Taiga more.

but like i’ll support shimana

also Ken, Zen’s brother, is like the symbol of adulthood. haiz scary, but realistic. and I hope he finds happiness also.

Honestly really loving this series. whenever i read it, it’s feel like i’m watching a family-ish tv show and it’s so cool!

Really thought I would've liked this more, considering Zen is my favorite. But I just felt like there was more drama than plot or moments of character growth, which really isn't the most compelling reading.

This is definitely the volume where I got cemented in my OTP's of this manga series and I felt so much. This manga genuinely makes me laugh out loud and makes me so happy! It's such a sweet manga and it's super funny. I love every characters so much in this manga. Zen has become my absolute favorite who I want to protect at all cost. He may be a little over zealous at times but his heart is absolutely in the right place and I love that about him. I'm so glad that I decided to pick this manga up and now I really can't wait to see what volume 4 has in store as this was an absolute delight to read!

I wasn't sure that I was going to continue on with this series because the future volumes synopsis spoiled me for the final pairing. (AVOID THEM IF YOU CAN!) I gave it another shot and even though my ship did sink in this volume, I'm going to keep collecting the series. It's great to see Shimana growing as a person. She's around 16 so the whole bouncing from crush to crush feels legit.

We got to learn more about Zen in this volume which I really liked. Zen is such a great character.
