Deal with a devil:

This was short, hot, and wonderful. I liked how fast paced their romance was, how possessive Dom was, and the secrets that he had been hiding from everyone. I also liked that the author wasn't afraid of physically hurting the main characters, though I would have wanted to read more about Sidorov getting caught or whatever justice Dalton was going to dole out.

Thanks to Booksprout for a copy!

Most of the stories were great. I did skip two; one never caught my attention, and the other dragged on setting the story up that it bored me. I need more actual books from stories 1, 6, 7, and 8. I will definitely be checking out other works by those authors.

Such an easy, quick read. This book is straight to the point so keeps you turning the pages. The spice was brilliant and the main characters where perfect for each other.

I read Evie Rose's novella and I really loved it! I'm sure they are all as gorgeous as this one. So this review is specifically for that novella.

Short, sweet and hot. If you want to spend a very enjoyable hour, this novella is for you. A dashing mafia billionaire who’s head over heels in love with a young and sweet assassin (can assassins be sweet? Apparently yes!), steamy interactions and a guaranteed HEA: what else could you want? More stories like this!

I read the story Dirty Halo by Simone Leigh

Saffron is a call girl. She meets Jaye at a BDSM club when her john stands her up. Jaye hires her repeatedly, finally deciding he loves her and wants the opportunity to make her fall for him.

Jaye comes across as an entitled rich boy, wanting daddy's money, but not wanting daddy to control his life. Saffron is content with her profession, not wanting to become Jaye's kept woman, but is intrigued by his offer.

As with all Simone Leigh's books, there is plenty of steam, with a side order of kink. The book ends with a cliffhanger, I'm very interested to find out what happens next for this couple.

My review is for Dirty Halo by Simone Leigh, part of the anthology, Dirty Billionaires, releasing in May of this year.

Is it possible to meet someone in your line of work who you keep coming back to but don't necessarily understand why outside of their ability to pay well?

That is exactly the question that Saffron keeps asking herself every time she spends a night with Jaye, the son of Alex Thorton; whom is a business associate of Richard Haswell. She has long had a policy of keeping her emotions out of the mix- spend time with the men in her portfolio, get the money to survive, and repeat. When she meets Jaye at the club, she is not expecting to feel something deep down for this man, but the more time that passes, the more confused and wary she becomes of his intentions, despite the fact that he knows exactly what he wants, even if his solution to getting that is less that conventional and secure in Saffron's eyes.

This story has promise and is a fantastic introduction to both of these characters and a new facet of the world that has been built so far through other stories- it is certainly different from anything Simone has written thus far, which is refreshing to see that her writing can expand nicely outside of a BDSM world that her previous stories are in. It is a great start to what could prove to be a nice new series and I certainly can't wait to get more of Saffron and Jaye this year- the chemistry between these two is great and they both aren't afraid to call each other out and go toe to toe. It will be nice to see exactly what becomes of the two of them- if their love will develop or if the outside world will forever stand in their way and I can't wait to see what happens next for these two!
