This book tells a story that I'll never forgot. It tells quotes that I will never get over. This book is part of me, and I can't explain how much this book made me feel. I will without a doubt reread it. The best book of the year. Well, damn. I can see the hype over Colleen Hoover and tbh I think she deserves every little bit of praise she gets. She had the guts to write stories after a abusive childhood with her father abusing her mother. And then, she doubles her guts to God knows what with that high-quality writing.
It Ends With Us is about a romance, in part 1. Let me summarize it for you,

I finally got onto the Colleen Hoover bandwagon. A surprisingly complex, emotional, and at times dark story of growth, trauma, and finding your path.

he's a possessive narcissist with poor social skills and she's kinda boring & simple... what a whirlwind romance (/s). it gets a star for ~~drama~~

Damn. This book ripped out my heart and stomped on it… but like, in a good way?

I did not like this. The characters were cheesy and unrealistic and I think I physically cringed at multiple ‘romantic’ conversations.
Not to mention the horrific abusive relationship at the center of this book. I understand that Hoover was probably trying to raise awareness  about domestic abuse but how about doing it in a way that doesn't involve being apologetic to the abuser OR having the ‘good guy’ come and save the poor girl who’s too defenseless to save herself. This book made me mad and I haven’t even gotten started on the letters to Ellen Degeneres…
