This is a great debut novel. It was amazing, when I thought I knew what was on there was a twist which blew my mind. I was so deep inside the story and Aaron's mind that I could not see the big picture. I recommend this book to everyone.

3.5 I did not see a lot of things coming in this book! It kind of punched me in the guts. In a good way. The ending is flipping sad! Crazy sad. In fact, most of the book is sad. So sad. Just the kind of YA I like. Some of the dialogue sounded forced at times and the final section lost the pacing but I haven't moved for the past two hours because I just had to know, you know? Holy shit.

It really makes you think

While there were a lot more depressing parts of this book than I had hoped, it got me to thinking about the parts of my life I wish I could forget. There are plenty of instances like this for everyone. If you say there aren't, you haven't truly lived. I, myself, am bisexual and comfortable in my sexuality, that isn't the part I'd forget...anyway, I digress. This book teaches us that while sometimes it can be difficult, we should always cherish our memories because one day we may not be able to create new ones.
