The writing was fine. The plot was fine. Everything about this book was just fine. Nothing really stood out to me personally.

While I did prefer book one, this one was pretty cute too. This gives very much Niko and Bran vibes from Rina Kent’s “God of Fury.” I loved that book so much so it only makes sense that I like this one too. I appreciate how the relationship was not typical, in that the characters were complex and their tastes were different from what you’d expect. Also, again, I love the fact that I am pretty sure this is not fetish content.

Paid In Full is a fantastic book. It does get a bit dark but you are getting what you pay for in a Mafia book. The relationship between Ash and Giancarlo is fun and sexy. A nice little twist between the two. Beware of the warning and triggers before you read. I especially loved the possessive-ness. It always a super plus when done well.

What I like about this series so far is while the premise sort of hints at something stereotypical, the authors throw you for a loop. Reading about Gin and Ash's relationship was a lot of fun.
