Voto: 4.5 stelline.
Oh, d’accordo.

What a beautiful story of friendship and love. Really lovable characters and some really well written scenes. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a young boy's dream come true. It's not all fluff but it certainly wasn't real life. A very sweet story that I would highly recommend. Am going to be exploring more from this author for sure!

Okay, I loved this. Read it in one sitting (maybe two hours). Super cute, without too much angst.
Almost sobbed at 84% when my Kindle ran out of charge but luckily I had downloaded it to my Nook as well, so I managed to finish it off without having to waiting for the Kindle to get enough charge to reopen (or sit on the floor next to the plug socket - I would have, to finish the book!)

Why not 5 stars? First person pov for both MC's, and on a few occasions I had to read back a couple of lines to remember whose pov I was in.

It was cute and fun in some parts but I can't get past the incredibly graphic smut scenes featuring MINORS, I'm honestly shocked more people aren't mentioning this! I thought I was seeing double, with this book being so short we miss out on the chance to get to know Owen and Jordan outside of each other and I  think that impacted not only them but the side characters as well because they add nothing to the story it made the book very one-dimensional and I found it difficult to care for Jordan or Owen.

The writing was choppy at best, this book did a whole lot of telling and not a lot of showing we're spoon-fed every conflict and internal dilemma occurring. What was frustrating was how Jordy coming out was terrible for Owen I hated how the book only really emphasized how it would affect Owen and him alone and not the person who came out, to suggest that things will somehow be easier for Owen if he just comes out as bi really underestimates and is honestly a disservice to just how difficult it is for bi people to come out as well.

I don't know maybe I'm giving this book too much thought but with such high ratings my expectations were set a little high and I was left severely disappointed.

Eta:second read Nov 2014 one of the few books that holds up and still makes me so happy.

This book was totally adorable, I had a smile on my face almost the entire story. The only time that smile slipped was the first sex between Owen and Jordan, because it seemed totally out of character to who Owen was. He was such a wonderful, do the right thing type, that I don't see him cheating, no matter what the situation was.

But all in all, this was the cutest book, and I loved watching them grow up, with a chapter for several stages of their lives, from Kindergarten, on up to high school.

I read a book a few weeks ago that was really similar, only it did NOT give me the HEA for the boys, and I was SO happy to get my fix with this story.

OMFG this book!!!

This book had me swooning and choking up with emotion and all hot and bothered!

Everything about this story was perfect (tho there were a few missing scenes that would have been much much appreciated - ahem.)

This was a beautiful story about realizing who you love shouldn't matter and being brave enough to take a stand and fight for it and winning in the end because of it. Just freakin awesome!

Not at all what I was expecting from reading the description... I mean yes it had the jock and the geek, but I didn't realize how short it was, and I thought that it would be more a second chance story, that they'd go off in their own directions, Jordy would become a big time comic artist, and Owen would show up at some big nerd convention, like Comic-Con, and then they'd have their HEA. Totally not what happened, but I loved it anyway. I love the GFY and friends to lovers tropes, and this book had both. I love the build-up to that moment you know the straight guy is gonna go ahead and mess around with the gay guy cuz he just can't help himself, and that twinge in your chest after they mess around when the straight guy brushes off the gay guy telling him he's not gay, and you totally feel for the gay guy and want to cry yourself. I love when the "straight" guy has that AHA moment and goes back to get his man. This book had everything I love, and I will definitely be reading more by this author.
