Sweet book, great representation across race and a few cis gay couples. To me, read more like a romance/ personal growth novel and also there's magic, rather than magic being the main thing, which is what I tend to gravitate to. Still an enjoyable read.

What a cute and cozy read, perfect for fall! I enjoyed reading this book. The ensemble of characters all rounded each other out quite nicely. I found the books themes around home, found family, and identity to be well done. I also loved Mika’s distinction between nice and kind- something that really resonated with me.  The romance in this story is the B plot so readers should go in expecting a solid fiction novel rather than a romance. I would recommend this book to fans of cozy witchy reads.

All the stars and all their star dust for this cozy, romantic, magical book about found family and living as your true self. Perfect autumn read. Great narration.

Mika is a lonely witch who has never found anywhere to set down roots. She gets a mysterious message one day with very few details, and decides to see what it is about.

She meets Ian, Ken, Lucie, Jaime, and the three young witches. The adults are hoping that Mika is able to teach the girls about controlling their powers.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book but it has a little bit of everything - fantasy, romance, mystery. It also has both a grumpy/sunshine relationship as well as found family.

Spoiler I was not expecting a big twist in this sort of book so the reveal about Lillian and Lillian/Primrose was shocking.

The story also wrapped up enough I don’t expect a sequel, but there are enough loose ends that there could be a second story. I would read a sequel.

A whimsical story about a lonely witch hired to help tutor a trio of young, orphaned witches by the 4 adults doing their best to raise them.
Things I loved: Cozy, sweet, and witchy, with found family and grumpy-sunshine love story. Also a Very Good Dog. Fav line in the whole book: “That was some excellent Mary Poppins shit right there.”
Things I didn’t love: it’s a straightforward, predictable plot with not a ton of depth or development. Occasionally sickly sweet.

If you want something easy to read, sweet, witchcore and a little bit twee, with a found family and HEA, this is for you.
