the third volume in waid's daredevil run and he is able to keep up the quality level of the first two books. this book starts off with the spiderman, punisher, daredevil crossover that is done very well. even spiderman didn't get on my nerves in this story. after that there are two issues finishing the omega drive storyline and some issues dealing with some fallout.
the whole mark waid run is fantastic with the date issue as the high point for this volume.

Even though there's stuff I didn't like in this volume, like how I found the whole omega drive plot hard to follow, I really just vibe with the writing in this run, so overall I'm just really enjoying it. I liked the Latveria story best I think, I thought it was cool the way they showed the degradation of his senses and then his powers compensating. Also I just love a good Latveria story.

I can't stand indestructible heroes. Which is why this volume was so compelling, to see Daredevil, Matt Murdock, wrestle through his weaknesses, both personal and physical, and find them challenged to a most frightening level, to be taken to the edge of being the man without fear. This was my favorite volume so far.

The conclusion to the Omega Drive storyline draws in Spider-Man, The Punisher, and "Punisherette" from the Greg Rucka run of Punisher. It's a fun, complicated journey of two heroes and two anti-heroes teaming up for an adventure where absolutely no one is on the same page. And they're battling four different evil corporations who are also not on the same page.
I was surprised by how well Waid and Rucka's styles complimented each other, given that they are two very different styles of writer. I was also curious as to where the story would land once the OMega Drive was written out.
The latter half of this trade focuses on Daredevil being kidnapped, brought to Latveria, and deprived of his extrasensory powers. It's an intense read in a very different way than the first half of the collection.

Yet another pretty good Daredevil book. I liked the college story the best - just Matt and Foggy beginning to be friends. A team up with Punisher is never going to be great, but this one was at least okay. And Daredevil's date was pretty good. And then Daredevil was transported to Latveria and that was certainly the weakest bit. But still good.

I liked the first two story arcs of Waid's Daredevil, and I thought that it was good, but I didn't really understand all the hype. I this this trade paperback installment, Waid's run really feels like it's coming into it's own, both I terms of action and character development. I enjoyed the Spider-Man/Punisher/Daredevil mini event, although I was getting tired of the Omega Drive. All those Omega Drive issues ended up paying off, though, as we the readers wait in anticipation for DD's escape, wondering how he'll manage deprived from *all* his senses.

I am so excited that I got this comic because its super hard to find them ESP the Mark Waid run I feel like so I was really glad I could get this. I really liked this one, Mark Waid has my favourite run of the story and I really like what he does with the story and how he characterizes the characters. I was super happy that we got Punisher AND Spider-Man content in this one as well. The stories were not my personal favourite in terms of excitement as I feel like I wanted a bit more of a thicker plot rather than just fight scenes (as much as I love them I feel like an abundane of fight scenes one after the other becomes a bit redundant since I personally have toruble picturing what is happening, and tend to skim through it). So I wish there was more of a story like they were trying to find someone or were fighting someone after a bit more planning but it was still nice to read. There was a bit of Matt & Foggy tension which gave me PTSD flashbacks to the dreaded āNelson v. Murdockā episode (iykyk) but Iām sure that gets resolved eventually. The story ended on a bit of a cliffhanger so I cheated and read the next chapter online but I do want to collect these. The art is absolutely gorgeous so ti made up fro when I thought the plot was a bit dry. All in all good read!!
