Fantastic read. Inspiring, vivid, and surprisingly philosophical. I'll be thinking about this one for a while, definitely changed my perspective on some things, especially regarding community.
The audiobook is read by the author, too, and Sheldrake has a very pleasant tone which I enjoyed.
Lost me in places in chapters that got very detailed on the biology side of things. But always got me back when talking about society, humans, potential futures, and the general philosophy of fungi-ness.

Reading this book has made mushrooms look more beautiful and taste better.
The world of fungi is even more fascinating than I had hoped. We can learn a lot from the symbiosis of lichens and the complicated networks of mycorrhizal fungi, to name just a few of the interesting topics discussed here. This book opened my mind to new (to me) forms of life, unrealized possibilities for sustainability, and the idea of cultivating my own mushrooms.

I don’t think I’m entirely smart enough for this book. But I, for one, welcome our fungi overlords.

Really interesting, made me wanna infodump on people a lot. The writing is a bit extra to my taste but not too annoying.
