The writing here was lovely, as was every absurd event in the absurd life of Arthur Less. Also, I swear when the dog ran off with the suit, I literally whimpered out loud and that takes skill right there.

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize. Less, a failed author, is invited to his ex boyfriends wedding and doesn’t want to RSVP yes… or no… so he needs to figure out how to avoid it. So he says yes to every literary event he’s been invited to over the next 80 days so he will have valid excuses not to attend the wedding. What could go wrong with that plan? The chapters are divided according to his subsequent adventures less Mexican, less Italian, less German, less French, less Moroccan, less Indian. It’s a satire of the middle aged white American guy traveling around the world. Looking for himself and reflecting on life and love and what to do after you turn 50. Less is loveable and should give him self more credit. ✨

Tentative review. Def not everyone’s cup of tea looking at other reviews but it really did it for me. Came to me at the right time. Tender hearted and sweet. Going to let this one sit with me for a while, but rating subject to change

I read 100 pages and wasn't feeling it. I have no guilt for putting it down, but I'm bugged by not understanding Pulitzer Prize worthiness ...

DNF at 37% I wanted to like this so much but I'm incredibly bored, and the travel locations don't really seem to be explored.
