I think I have to give it 5 not because I absolutely loved it but bc it made me think and it made me feel and isn’t that the point of art? Honestly this whole book was so weird and every sentence was a wild ride in itself but there were also so many truisms of life laced throughout. I couldn’t decide if I loved or hated Cheryl but I was rooting for her either way, which I think says something.

My most pervasive question is: What just happened? And my most pervasive answer is: Can't quite say, but I'm so glad it did.

I laughed out loud during the first 100 pages. But I sat in silence for a long time when I finished.

ok YES… it’s not perfect but MAN i couldn’t put it down. i debated on whether to rate this lower based on the parts that made me cringe (the defecating in takeout boxes, the yeasty foot smell, the sheer amount of times i had to read “cream in her puss”, etc) but who am i kidding - this thoroughly entertained me. yes it’s pretty vulgar, and also very weird, but it felt like it existed in it’s own weird universe that really sucked me in. it helps that i tend to love books about odd, idiosyncratic women. some parts were so absurd that i genuinely laughed out loud, some parts were so True and Sad that i was shocked by the dichotomy of it all. this book’s boldness and uniqueness surprised me, it would be a lie to say that i didn’t love reading it
