The way Colin is obsessed with Penelope is everything to me. That is all. Loved this one sooo much

I love the bridgerton but this is probably my least favorite which isn’t to say I didn’t love it, it just wasn’t my favorite of the bridgerton children. Colin kept rubbing me the wrong way and I loved Penelope so much that it made it hard for me to become invested in their love story.

More like a 4.5, I really enjoyed this book. Any time I want to put romance down, it's books like this that make me so happy for love. I was scared for this story since people say Penelope has been waiting on Colin and he doesn't see her until the last second. But when he does!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG give him to me. It felt so realistic. I am one of those people who believe the friendzone exists and sometimes you're not going to see someone the same way they see you. Sometimes loving someone takes time! And Julia wrote this pretty well for me. I love the show, so I wanted to read one of the books to really get detail on Penelope and see how Lady Whistledown plays out from her perspective and I enjoyed it. The way Colin desires her made me swoon and the way he shows and speaks his love made me tear up in the end. I was touched. I really want to read Eloise's story next. I skipped the first 3, but I may go back to Benedict's story since he hasn't had a season in the show yet. I'm also intrigued by Francesca's story as well.
