Not the highest quality of writing, BUT a must read anyway for the topic and story! An important tale about undocumented immigrants and their children.

I am in awe of Diane! She went through so much and I feel like she only just pushed through to the entertainment business recently! Even though this book has been out for a little while now. I really sympathized with her through her dark moments and cheered her on at her best. She also gave great information at the very end, talking about Obama’s then Immigrant Reform. What really stuck with me was when she said that migrant workers being deported impacts us all, even if we don’t realize it.
This had to have been such a scary story to put out in the world, but I’m so glad she did. It’s obvious that she has had an impact on so many people, especially younger women and girls who may be in the same situation she was.

Interesting
I did not feel a lot of emotion but this is a good quick read if you are interested in the challenges that immigrants face. The story is part ‘life of an American kid with illegal parents’ with a little bit ‘how I overcame to become an actor’
