I cried when she won Boston even though I already knew she was going to.

I really enjoyed her story. The chapters go between the actual day she won Boston and her life's experiences and career leading up to that day. It was an interesting way to appreciate the hard work, set backs, and triumphs that she faced.

Excited to receive an ARC of this book and enjoyed every minute of the story.

I've admired Des Linden for a long time and have vivid memories of her win at Boston and this story of her running life intermixed with race day details was a real treat for a marathon runner.

Finished Des's memoir while running the first 20 miler of my marathon build, which was the perfect setting. She nailed the format of her story, interspersing details of her Boston win with the rest of her running (and traveling and reading and drinking) life. Des is so cool and this made me admire her so much more.
