The first half of the book was solid with a good amount of tension between Parker and Liv. But even then the fact that Parker is engaged to Emily and pining for Liv from the beginning is more than a little uncomfortable. It isn't one of the cases where he slowly falls back in love, no, he is emotionally cheating on Emily from chapter one onwards.
This then leads to physical cheating, while still engaged to Emily the day before the wedding rehearsal.

After Parker and Liv then get together it is just one sex scene after the other with no plot for the last third of the book. I don't mind a smutty scene but I prefer them sparse and only when they further the plot in some way.

I felt that there wasn’t a lot going on the the book and when something did happen it happened super fast. A lot of things surrounding the plot were left unclear to me.
I did like the main characters so I guess that makes up for the ‘plot’.

-SPOILER-
There was some cheating going on which I didn’t enjoy. And the whole miscarriage was handle pretty bad to me🤷🏾‍♀️
