Knox and Jojo it's a sports romance standalone. The story was a sweet and hot friends-to-lovers story, with a slow burn that will have you entertained throughout the book. It's in dual POV, which I love because you can see both sides of the story. This is a complete standalone you won't want to miss.

mmm muy wattpad y un poquito (muy) largo para la poca (nada) trama que tenía.
También las escenas de sexo me empezaron a hartar para el final

I enjoyed reading this. Monica Murphy’s writing felt a little clunky at points and there was some repetitive language, but on the whole it was fun and engaging. The romance was sexy and sweet; it was very low-conflict
Spoilerwith no third act break up
which was a nice change. The chemistry between Knox and Joanna was very good, the sex scenes are steamy and well-written, and there was a good level of honesty and communication between them.

I liked Knox quite a lot - he was a sweetie, especially compared to a lot of Monica Murphy’s other MMCs. His pining and desire for Joanna was so clear, but he was so gentle and careful with her. I thought Joanna had some cute moments but sometimes I found her a little annoying.

If I focused entirely on the romance I enjoyed this quite a bit, but I thought some of the external plot was a bit weak. Knox’s vow of celibacy ultimately had very little relevance to the plot - it just sort of gets forgotten about and I never really felt like the stakes of that situation mattered. By the end of the book I didn’t really get why it was included at all.

But overall I thought this was a fun and easy read if you’re looking for a low-conflict college romance.

Content Notes: Bargains/deals/wagers, popular/nerd, opposites attract, college, sports.

Warnings:
SpoilerControlling behaviour (in past), references to blood.

Other:
SpoilerOn-page sex, infidelity / cheating (in past), dyslexia, references to spanking and BDSM, mild OW drama
SpoilerAn ex-hook-up of the MMC’s appears on-page and flirts with him but she’s friendly towards the FMC and it causes no drama between the FMC and MMC.
, OM drama
SpoilerMMC sees FMC with a male friend and is jealous; FMC’s ex-boyfriend tries to get back with her at the end of the book but she’s not interested and it causes no drama between the FMC and MMC.

Way to wrap the year! This book was fun, spicy, an had me giggling all throughout it. Knox and Jo Jo are particularly enjoyable if you ask me. For me this book is five-stars all the way. I really enjoy it and it's easy to read, I like the tutoring thing that the author got going and the fact that he was practically a super star but wasn't an ass was definitely part of the appeal that this book has.

It was THE cliché of the shy girl and the super star football player, but with and upgrading kind of thing. I like the communication and maturity of the character, specially the brutal honesty of Knox. He was always honest and went straight to the point. He wasn't afraid of his feelings and neither to say them.

There wasn't a big plot in this book, everything was pretty predictable but it isn't lacking anything either, I think is a safe book because there's not much going on really, that's why it's so easy to read. At least for me it was.

Also, I like the way the author introduces us to the story of Blair and Cam in the last chapters, I have to admit I'm intrigue. Because even though it's super obvious that something's going on I would like to see how their story goes down.

Knox, my man, are you really that blind?

Super excited to be reading Knox Maguire’s book, Owen’s boy! The Callahan/Maguire sports romances are my favorite series by this author, starting with Drew and Fable, then Owen and Chelsea and then on to the next generation with their kids. It feels like long standing friends!

Knox is a sweetie! He’s big and muscular and focused, a wide receiver, and with great chances of getting into the NFL. There’s a brief mention of knee problems but it’s wiped away with a spot of PT. He meets Joanna in the campus bookstore and from there they meet several times.

Joanna is recovering from a breakup and she’s still in the moping stage. But her roommate Natalie is good at pushing her to go out and have fun and this is when Knox sees her and sort of sets his sight on her.

The story develops swimmingly, once Joanna internalizes that she’s worthy. She usually feels like she looks horrible and is not interesting enough, especially for a campus football idol like Knox Maguire. He’s wonderful in that he brings up her esteem and makes her feel beautiful and desired.

This couple is super cute and what I loved the most is that they repeat history. Joanna starts tutoring Knox in English since he’s dyslexic and struggling in class. His parents had the same story: his mother was his father’s tutor in university. I loved that they’re always so true with each other, open with their feelings and thoughts, even when they feeling insecure about the other. They are a lovely couple!

There were parts of the story that I didn’t like, for example, in the beginning there was too much character rumination instead of interaction. I loved that it was a slow burn romance, but initially the pace felt way too slow. Once Knox and Joanna started to date, then the plot took speed and most of it was dedicated to sexy times. I expected to see more of Knox’s parents and was disappointed to see so little of them. There’s a little side plot between Camden and Blair, Knox’s sister, so I’m hoping this will be the next book. I liked Cam!
