2.5⭐️ only for the teacher’s physical description lol
If the author didn’t specify Penny’s age, it seemed like she was in her freshman year in a high school. Her character was so immature and juvenile for her actual age and it negatively affected the story. She wasn’t old enough for this teacher-student relationship, it seemed like a sexual abuse of a minor… and I had to remind myself that she wasn’t…
Don’t like books that make you feel uncomfortable and concerned, it bugged me to the end

Loved the sex, hated literally everything else. One minute they’re in love, the next they are wanting to murder each other and not in a fun way. I could get past the hot for teacher angle, but I really didn’t understand the need for all the other drama. Please read the reviews on later books before deciding if it’s worth it. For me this is a contender for worst book I’ve ever finished….

Penny lives with her dorm mate Melissa who is carefree and outgoing. Whereas Penny is more of the stay inside and watch a movie kinda girl. Melissa jokes that Penny is so straight laced that she will end up being a cat lady. So when Penny says that she has a crush on her professor, Melissa doesn’t think anything of it. Is Penny as straight laced as Melissa thinks? Or is she dying to break the rules? Will Penny choose watching a movie with a cute guy from a frat house or will she pick the dark and dangerous professor?

James came to the Newcastle college to escape his past in NYC and start a fresh. He wants to keep his head down and get on with being a professor. However when he bumps into a red head girl in the coffee shop and gives her his jump, everything changes. James has a jealously issue and is quite possessive, he doesn’t want to share.

Does James go a step to far this time? Will his secrets and past catch up with him? Is James really just a professor?

It started out really cute, and I liked the buildup to their moments, but this book just didn't do it for me. The heroine was very cliche and insecure with the hero being mature. This was a redundant read with some cute supporting characters.

wanted a quick read to get out of my reading slump. this... kind of worked?

mfc was annoying as hell, but she's 19 and pretty much a pushover, so it's understandable. a lot of situations were glossed over and/or forced in the plot. mfc's roommate is annoying as well and inadvertently causes a lot of what are mfc's "problems".

i was honestly going to stop reading at the end of book 1, but it's also just so dumb that i also want to continue reading the other books to see how bad it actually gets. it honestly just takes me back to the fanfic days of how this was written and 'poorly' edited before being published.
