Beatrice Steele is our heroine in the quick easy audiobook about murder and etiquette. I've read a couple of these books along this vein. I never cared too much for the characters in this book but I did finish it.

fun, rollicking, and lighthearted, this period mystery is just what one needs to ease back into reading after a slump. a strongwilled spinster with a penchant for gory crime and a half-indian detective with an eye patch and a grudge join forces to solve a murder at a nineteenth century ball. the writing is more fun and slapstick than refined, but its intentional! (also, there are strong hints that one of the ladies present is a...werewolf.) if you're having trouble focusing, pick this one up! 🌼

Great potential, but weirdly boring. The mystery is lame and doesn’t make a lot of sense/feel believable.
