I re-read this book recently and remembered exactly why I had an Agatha Christie phase. This book is an excellent example of how the best murder mysteries are written (in my opinion, duh). Being a collection of short stories this also makes for a perfect light summer read or something to read on your commute, not to mention you get that little thrill when the culprit is revealed 13 times!

I enjoyed reading this one and loved how there were lots of different short stories or problems in one book.
It probably wasn’t as exciting as the first book in the Miss Marple series because the build up for each story was quite quick and a little rushed. If you like lots of short problems to solve, this would be perfect for you!
It took me a bit of time to get used to who was who in the book, as there were lots of different characters but I think in the end it didn’t matter who they were!
I love the way Agatha Christie wrote this book as it’s hard to build the tension and excitement into a short stories book but each problem was very interesting!
I’m excited to continue on with the next Miss Marple book which is The Body in the Library, so I’ll probably be starting that this week!

Absolutely the best Agatha Christie mystery short story collection I've come across. It's not just a random assortment of tales but a seamlessly interconnected book where each successive short story serves as a chapter in a captivating novel.
The storyline revolves around a group of people gathering every Tuesday night to share past mysterious, often murderous, happenings. Each storyteller holds the key to the solution, leaving the others to analyze and make their best guess. To everyone's surprise, it's the unassuming elderly village lady, Miss Jane Marple, who unfailingly unveils the truth every time!
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection, especially because each mystery had its own self-contained chapter, making it easy to dip in and out. A definite recommendation from me. My personal favorite has to be The Blue Geranium.

Enjoyed the short story aspect of it. Took me a while to read purely as I dipped in and out of it between other books.
