Supergirl is my favorite superhero of all time, alongside Superman, because i resonated with her so much when i was younger—feeling like you're always in someone else's shadow, never quite finding your place in the world. this story is beautifully written and crafted, and it made me cry a few times. i love when Kara is just a little bit angry at the world because she has every right to be. this is going to be a classic comic book recommendation from me from now on.

A unique tale in the lore of Supergirl, that feels like the kind of high fantasy/sci-fi you’d find in Heavy Metal.

This book made me think a lot about who Supergirl is as a character, how she’s similar to Clark and how she’s different. Kara and Clark feel like a matched set, which nothing against that, I love it even, but King worked hard to show Kara’s values and personality separate from Clark and Superman. I really liked it.

The art was absolutely gorgeous. Kara has the looks of a silent film star, and I thought it might be jarring considering the high fantasy of the plot but it worked really well!

All in all, a very enjoyable book in the Supergirl canon.

This is the first time I didn't hated Tom writing but it was ok.

Proof that Tom King isn't a total Hack but also I wonder how he reconciles writing some of these story beats while being ex cia.
Anyways Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is a modern classic and with the help of the upcoming movie based on it, it will go down in history as one of the best Supergirl stories of the 21st century

i love books that this point of view. the story told from outside of the story, if that makes sense. we see Supergirl only how Ruthye sees her, instead of how Supergirl sees herself. i love that. the way you see yourself vs the way other people see you can lead to drastically different feelings about the end of the story. anyways, very very very very good, bought for the art stayed for my girl Ruthye. icon, truly.

Supergirl is sad, until she isn't. Supergirl's new friend Ruthye is sad, until she isn't. Krypto is about to die, except he isn't.
SpoilerSupergirl's horse is dead, except he...oh no, he's actually fucking dead( and also was a human I guess?).

In 8 issues of pure epicness and mindblowing revelations, Tom King tells us a story of a revenge that never happens because killing is bad (except when he did it in the middle east I guess). Thanks Tom.
Bilquis Evely does an excellent job at holding together King's borish accounts. I'm sure nobody would give a crap about him if his books were penciled by Dave Crockum or somebody less "flashy" (and alive, RIP Dave).

Read this if you think having fun is overrated.
