Once again Alley Ciz has made me fall more in love with a fictional character than some may say is healthy - but I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life! I have loved Ryan from the very beginning and my heart broke for him in the other BTU books so for him to finally get his HEA I could not be more elated! Amara and Maverick are perfect and fit seamlessly in with the Coven/BTU crew. I have some new favorites in Coach and Mama Watson and I cannot wait to read more of the BTU world!! #fcancer

What an awesome story! I absolutely love how Alley has incorporated the single mom, non-dating hockey hunk, and amazing nine year old with T1D into the most brilliant story. We get to see all of our favorite Covenettes in this one and they are just as fabulous as always!

This series just keeps getting better and better, I have been completely sucked in. The guys are great, the found family vibes are excellent, the group banter and love shines through the pages-and well the Covenettes are girl gang goals!

I loved Amara. She was very relatable in certain ways and her feelings and thoughts were realistic. I loved, even though she had been through such tough times in her life from a young age as a teen mom, She was  so sweet, so kind and was able to find her own family, not by blood, but who loved loved her and her son fiercely. Her relationship with her son (Maverick) was amazing.

Ryan was a wonderful character and I am so happy he finally has his HEA. He has all the cinnamon roll energy, loved his family unapologetically and was the number 1 supporter for those he cared about. He had his own fears (like Amara, that were very valid) but watching him bond with both Amara and Maverick was beautiful and he was so protective of them both.

These two had a great connection and I loved watching it grow over their months together. They really found what their lives were missing in one another.

I have to say I was thoroughly surprise by the little ‘twist’ in this book, I knew something was coming-but I wasn’t expecting it to be what was revealed.
Alley sure give us a character to dislike.

I love any chance to catch up and enjoy the crazy and fun group of OG characters from the BTU world Alley Ciz has created. Ryan Donnelly has been a favorite of mine from her first book Power Play, and when his relationship with Tink ended I was sad he wasn’t getting his HEA.

Well Captain America finally got to run into his soul mate, and of all places in the team locker room when he’s wearing just a towel fresh from the shower! Swoon! What red blooded woman could resist meeting him like this?!

I loved how Ryan’s relationship with Amara happens despite him trying to resist. He just declared a no dating policy for this season. She is the pseudo daughter of his new Coach - he knows that’s forbidden. But she’s the most beauty woman and his immediate reaction every time he sees her is ‘Whoa!’

Amara is a very young single mom to a nine year old boy, who is her whole world. She was pregnant at 15 and the father of her child is more sperm donor than parent. She doesn’t let down her guard for many people because her past has taught her she is easily discardable.

This book gives us a swoony relationship between good guy Ryan, who has been hiding his secret bad boy in the bedroom persona, and Amara. Nine year old Maverick is a great addition to the Next Gen younger siblings, Sean and Carlee. These three contribute some matchmaking moves that are equally sweet and hilarious.

I was thrilled with the appearance of so many of that BTU characters I love and yet again wish these were really people in my life. Alley has given us another spectacular book to enjoy.

I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Gah! All the heart eyes for Cap!
He is one swoony motherpucker.
I always knew he would be the one to grab my heart.

I actually—still, a week later—have no words.
I'm still struck dumb by the perfection that is Ryan "Mr. Hockey" Donnelly.

Well done, Alley.
You. Broke. Me.

Stephen and Sharmila did a wonderful job bringing Ryan and Amara to life.

I have been very excited about Ryan’s story for a while and was so happy to get it because he deserved the world. He is truly the epitome of good guy aka Captain America. He loves his crazy family and friends, works hard, and just wants someone to love and love him back. When one too many bad dates happen, he decides he needs to lay off the dating scene because he doesn’t trust his judgment after being hurt before. He isn’t a player like most superstar athletes, Ryan just wants what those around him are finding and that’s the one true love of his life. He could not be any more perfect!! The day he swears off dating is the day he runs into Amara and the instant attraction blazes to life, yet they are both hesitant for many reasons. As a single mother, especially at a young age when she got pregnant, Amara is extremely hesitant when it comes to letting others close, especially hockey players. Please don’t hate me I will be in the minority here but…………. I understood how hard her life has been and how much of a struggle she went through, yet when came to Ryan maybe I felt overly protective of him because I wasn’t so sure about her at first. She would talk about being judged constantly but she was the first to judge Ryan and assume he was nothing but a player. By the time she starts to realize that Ryan is nothing like she thought, I was still struggling with connecting with her and even though I understood her hesitancy, the things she is going through with her family, it still got to me. Not going to lie it took me a while to like her, but when she would show her vulnerability, learned to accept help, I liked her a lot more. I did like the relationship she had with her son yet at times I felt they were speaking a different language with their banter, but I loved how much Maverick loved his mom, it was precious. With the “help” of the Covenettes they set out to get Ryan together with Amara. The Covenettes and their constant texting/meddling has elevated since book one and although I do love them, at times I felt it was a little too much. The constant hassling of the Covenettes made me feel bad for Ryan because he just wanted to figure out his love life in his own way and I get they are all family/friends, but it would irk me like no other to be constantly badgered they way they did him. I also felt weird about how much Maddy was involved with trying to help Ryan find his person, I felt maybe she was trying to still make amends for what happened between them and lessen her guilt because she was way over the top into his love life. However, I did absolutely enjoy the next gen, their friendship, and even their banter because it fit their ages. If you love a cute slow burn sports romance with a single mom and super amazing Cap that you can’t but help fall in love with this is a great one for you. I enjoyed it and think readers should give a try.

WHOA

This story is So good! It is such an emotional journey. I laughed with Captain America, Top Gun and The Covenettes. I cried & melted with Whoa. I became enraged with & then at Captain America & then immediately hurt for him and Whoa. At one point, my heart was in my throat over Top Gun. I love & hurt for Mama Watson & Coach at the same time. I was angry at Bryce before I I ever met him. Once I met him, I contemplated if the Covenettes would help me bury his body.
