Seth is sent to GG's stomping round of Burke Hollow and no matter what he thought he was meant to do GG has other plans which involve not only him but Ari. As with any time GG bestows someone with a nickname they are best not to ignore it, unfortunately this time around GG has her work cut out for her due to Seth well and truly guarding his heart as well as Ari having a cruel step family to deal with. Both Ari and Seth make me want to shake sense into them at times, then there is the cemetery scene (tissues may be required... ok will be required) this was the perfect book to draw you in and give you a taste of the new series and now the countdown begins!!!

Very cute start to this spinoff series. I'd seen Seth in the previous books so it was nice to get a little novella catching him with that world while also introducing a new one.

Being that this was a novella, it was short. It worked but had it been a full book, it likely would have been my favorite.

Eek. 2 stars for me.

I LOVED the previous series. Seth was one of my favorite characters and I just knew he would be a great MC but sadly, there is no chemistry between any of these three characters. There is no relationship between the little girl and Ari. After her upbringing, that was really lacking here. Also, Seth is not the type of guy to 69 a girl in the woods with a hurt ankle. His character is more caring to all the other women he's grown close to than his love interest. Novellas are fast but this was rushed and messy :(

sorry, but it was like words were just thrown at the page

Love the previous series and can’t wait to start on the next. But this was just not enjoyable at all!

Finally the Westbrooks - and no better way to start off the new series than by adopting Set into the mix. And it would not be the same if the adoption did not happen until he was a t a crossroads in his life. Can this one time spy really hang up his guns and become a true civilian? It might only take the love of a very special woman who not only loves Seth for who he really is but his young daughter as well. Can Ari open Seth's heart toward a future that is no longer lonely? Will Seth be able to allow Ari into his daughter's life? With your heart filled with love and your soul comforted in the very best way possible this was another fabulous read from Avery Maxwell. I cannot wait to see where she goes with all of the Westbrook boys!!

One Little Heartbreak was a quick, but enjoyable read! I loved Seth (and his little girl!) and Ari~ I look forward to more of them in the rest of this series!!

Adorable start to the Westbrook Brothers Series. I really enjoyed Seth in Loki's book and love that we got a deeper dive into his life. This book was entirely too short for me and I just wanted more of Seth and Ari (and Sadie's) story!

I am looking forward to reading the next books in the series and seeing Seth into this adopted family!
