I can not get into this book. It’s a DNF for me. I thought I could but learned this isn’t my thing.

Story was good and managed to surprise me a few times, but something about it has me not feeling like following the story any further. The way the children of the family were not protected left me thinking very poorly of her family

This book was entertaining. Will it win any awards? Definitely not. There are some holes in the plot, but I found the twists entertaining and was interested until the end. I will read the next book in the series, but will not be recommending this book to any of my friends. This is very similar to the Discovery of Witches series, so if you liked those books you will like this one as well.

This was a good story with lots of twists and turns. I thought from the beginning of the book that it was going to be a slighly funny, but cute book. It was definitely more of a murder mystery with quite a few surprises. I would just like to say that Mercy's family is really screwed up.

I really thought this was a great book!!! I downloaded it from Kindle First and it honestly sat in my book queue for months. The cover is a very very boring cover and made me not want to read it. Eventually I took a peek and it and I was entranced! I could not stop reading it. Yes some of the book is slightly confusing on how characters develop and it isn't an easy transition but I thought it was a great storyline and the characters were awesome. Excited to read the next book!

This was really strong for most of its length, then just when I thought I'd reached the end I realised there were about forty or fifty pages left. The prolonged denouement dealt a blow to the pacing, even though the information was important to the ongoing series, and I can't say I was entirely thrilled with the way a lot of things played out in the end.

I really enjoyed this book, I believe its young adult but it didn't read like a young adult book, they often have the star crossed lovers that are a little over done, this book had a really good plot, great mystery aspect, supernatural elements and I couldn't stop reading it!!! I loved the Savannah backdrop as well.

2015 has started off with a great page turner. I really enjoyed Horn's writing style.
