This would have been an interesting book to read to my kids when they were little. Much less interesting reading it to myself.

This summer I went to the museum in the New York Public Library, and they have the original Pooh stuffed animal and all the others, too - except one that was lost in the grass at some point. I was so touched at seeing those stuffed animals that I figured I should read some Pooh!
I didn't realize how funny Winnie the Pooh is to read. I think I've only seen TV specials from when I was a kid. But there were some laugh out loud moments. I would have preferred to read rather than to listen to these because Piglet's voice is pretty annoying. I may download the next stories on my kindle because the Pooh stories are a refreshing way to clear one's mind.

Definitely no longer a favourite.

I wasn’t a fan of A. A. Milne’s poetry, it was pretty boring, but maybe that’s because I’ve never been a fan of poetry.

I’ve loved Winnie the Pooh for as long as I can remember so no longer enjoying the book does feel like a part of me is waving goodbye to my childhood, but I think I’ll hold onto my own stuffed teddy bear for a little longer...you’re never to old for teddy’s after all.

The stories of Pooh and gang were fun, but I think I’ve just out grown them, or maybe because I listened to the audiobook last time, that it was the narrator that sold me on it, who knows?

I had always loved the Disney version, so I decided it was time to see for myself what the original was like. This is really more of a mature read and I can't wait until I can read this aloud to my children.

Listened to the audiobook with a cast that included Stephen Fry and Judy Dench. So good. And I appreciate Eeyore even more at 40(ish) than I did as a kid.

Such a cute and timeless classic. A great addition to any book collection. I highly recommend this story.

Absolutely fabulous! My now 11 year old son and I have been reading this very slowly over the course of a year or more---a chapter every couple of months or so, and tonight we've finished. Such a sweet story book---I'm so glad we had that time.

Ours is a lovely 1944 hardback edition with a gift inscription written inside: "Mary Beth from Cousin Arthur 1944".
