I didn't think I liked it that much, but the more I read the more I found myself in the characters, and I kind of came away reeling so I think I did like it after all.

Reread: Lol, definitely changing this to five stars. I forgot how complex this was, how complicated and flawed the characters are. I can't wait for the show now.

The characters felt very real and interesting which i rlly enjoyed about this book. Really liked the writing style too, just bothered by the lack of quotation marks cuz it makes the dialogue more difficult to read.

Kinda confused how I feel about this book. I liked a lot of parts of it and was hooked all the way through. Like with her other books Sally Rooney is amazing with writing complex characters and doing a deep dive into their relationships. This book really leaned into the idea of characters that aren't always likeable but are still compelling, but the narrator Frances is so cruel and self-isolating at times it becomes frustrating. The book does have her grow and reflect in the final pages, which I really appreciated, but I wished that part was longer. The ending left me really conflicted - I guess it's supposed to mimic how complicated life can be, but I was hoping for some more resolution. Normal People and Beautiful World, Where Are You were a lot more romantic/optimistic, which I think I just personally prefer, but I still found this book to be a really good read.

well that ending was predictable but i still wish it wouldn’t happen.

not really sure how to feel about this book, it wasn’t the great book of all times but it wasn’t the worst one… it sure does you a lot to think about in terms of perspective, especially in the way that frances mind works sometimes.

i loved bobbi she is the moment.
