This book wasn’t quite what I expected. The “twists” were pretty predictable and overall it was just a bit of a slog.

This was a quick read and a definite page turner. Even if there seemed to be some predictable moments, I felt as soon as I started to think I figured it all out, I would hit a new twist. Perfect summer beach or poolside read.

When you can guess all the twists at page 60, a thriller just becomes dull

Paris Peralta’s husband, beloved comedian, is found dead Paris is accused of his murder. The arrest and media exposure threatens to expose Paris for who she really is and unravel the web of lies that helped her escape a terrible past.

I really enjoy Jennifer Hillier’s writing style. This is the 4th book of hers I have read and it won’t be the last. This was just as great as the others I’ve read so far. I love character development and it was easy to follow through the different plots and timelines.

It's predictable but a good story. Some of the mystery was pretty obvious, but it was well written and kept my interest. This book wasvery similar to A Stranger In The House I recently read. Several trigger warnings are mentioned at the beginning because the story goes there.
