I’m between giving it a 2 or a 3! I really enjoyed it at first, but then it became repetitive. All about Clara!

There were a lot of things I found to be weird. I agree with other reviews about the welfare of the kids. She left them in the car. I can’t believe Clara did not have any friends. No one visited her after her husband died. She never worried about her husband’s practice after he died.

Why didn’t she ask her daughter about the black car?

Ugh! I could go on.

The wife’s husband dies in a crash and she’s convinced that her daughter who is having terrors is trying to tell her something. It ends up that the husband has all kinds of money trouble and it’s told from dual POV.

This book was ok. The relationships in the book were identifiable for me so I feel like I connected with the characters in different ways. I don’t know that I would’ve liked the book as much if I didn’t have kids and/or a spouse tho. Not Kubica’s best work, in my opinion, but it wasn’t as bad as other books I’ve read by her recently.
