Explains the concept well, and provides many interesting ideas and points for reflection. However, it diverges from the topic so many times and goes into stories and anecdotes that don't have little to nothing to do with ikigai.

It has a lot of Japanese tradition, but the anecdotes itself made it boring and the purpose for explaining ikigai is vanished.. I hardly get the point..

For now, nothing can compares the feeling of being refreshed after I read this book. I am deeply grateful for finding this book in the times when it felt like everything collapsing on me and I failed to find strength. The time when it felt like happiness was nowhere around and I failed to recognize that happiness could come in the smallest event in life.
Oftentimes I feel my life is unworthy because I constantly seeking for others validation. This book become an absolut reminder that being immerse in things that i do and loving -even- the smallest progress are the better ways to obtain happiness (...And the list of personal realization continues).
I cherished the long journey with this book and I am sure I will read this any time sooner.
Whatever you do, it does not matter much to the world. You need to start small.

This book told us about the origin story of Japan philosophy, so it talked a lot about history in pottery, shrine but not how we do Ikigai in practical way.
