I feel this was just what I needed at the minute. This was a beautiful light story (in my opinion) with a second chance romance. I loved chance and his cocky nature and how he didn’t give up on Aubrey. I loved all the little things he did like buying her coffee.

I also liked how we got the first half of the story in Aubrey’s pov and the other half in Chance’s

I’m really like Penelope wards and vi keelands books

Cocky Bastard started off as a 5 star novel. I was having a blast reading it. So many giggles and fun times. Then suddenly.........flop. I'm not too sure on how duo authors collaborate when writing. I'm pretty sure with this one each author took a POV. Aubrey's POV started off brilliant. I loved it! But towards the end it fizzed a bit. Chance's POV was wonderful at first. A bit out of character from what we first learned of him. And then it flopped and dragged on a bit. All in all it really was a good read. That goat was the funniest shit ever. I couldn't stop laughing.

This was an incredible read. I loved every minute of it. Another fantastic collaboration from Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. The story was steamy, engaging, and beautiful. The characters were amazing. The story is in two parts, the first part is about how Aubrey and Chance met and went on their California road trip together, which did not end well. The second part of the story is when Chance enters Aubrey's life again after two years. This is a second chance romance. I loved Chance. His character was funny. Aubrey was a fantastic heroine. The humour in this story made me love it even more. The ending was great. I can't wait to read the other books that this duo have written. Overall, a fantastic read.

I wish I could give this 4.5*s. It's not quite a 5* because I didn't like Chance's viewpoint as much as Aubrey's. But oh my! What a good book it was! I fell for Chance right along with Aubrey! And he could say the most romantic things along with his innuendo.

The fainting goat, their baby, was hilarious.

The Epilogue was absolutely perfect.

ETA: I decided to raise my review to 5*s. The book’s overall raring deserves to be higher than it is, and I want to be a part of that.

I thought this book was nothing special. Every body seems to love it but it was just ok for me. I didn't feel their connection right from the start and although it was a fun road trip, the rest seemed a bit far fetched. If the guy is such a cocky bastard, then why did he demean himself repeatedly to try to get her back? I loved the goat though!
