If I could give this book more than five stars, I would.
Where to start…this book was gripping and I found myself pulling almost all nighters just to get in a few more pages (which probably wasn’t the smartest lol).
The plot of this book was interesting and executed quite well. I wouldn’t say that there were many major plot twists that made me want to scream and throw my book across the room (and all twists with that potential ended up not happening? If that makes sense?). This book succeeded to progress the story is a compelling way as well as build up the world and it’s lore more.
Characters wise…I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS!!!!! Mainly Kaladin and Syl, but still!!! Shallan definitely grew on me and Adolin is Adolin (curious to see what happens with him). I can’t decide if I think Adolin and Shallan are cute or if I want Shallan and Kaladin to possibly develop feelings for each other. Anyways, Kaladin continues to be my favorite character. I was mad at him for making bad decisions like his oath to help kill the king but I liked how his power was taken away from him and he had to be a normal man once again (I just hated how I thought syl was possibly dead). Also, what’s the stormfathers problem :/
ANYWAYS I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THIS TOPPED THE WAY OF KINGS WHICH I DID NOT THINK WAS POSSIBLE!

WARNING: THIS REVIEW CONTAINS MASSIVE SPOILERS:
So I need to redact my previous statement about Warbreaker. This is actually my favorite Sanderson book, no contest. This book made me really like Kaladin, far more than I expected. He has so many good character moments, such as when he defends Dalinar and his family from Szeth. And who can forget when he goes to defend Dalinar's sons in combat. This shows that even though he despises Lighteyes, he slowly starts to trust at least some of them. And who could forget, the scene where he becomes the very thing he hates, a Lighteyes. Dalinar has some fantastic growth in terms of learning to trust Kaladin. When he gave Amaram, the guy who sold Kaladin into slavery and stole his Shardblade, and made him the leader of the Knights Radiant. And when Dalinar has an Aquaman from Justice League (the Bruce Timm show) moment, making Amaran give Kaladin his Shardblade back. Weirdly enough, it was Shallan, my favorite character's story that I found the least interesting. It's still very interesting, having her grow more confident. I'm quite ready to start Edgedancer and see where the story goes from here, read it now!
