I am a big fan of Agatha's books. It was such a great surprise to get a glimpse of the person who wrote those masterful mystery novels.
It's a beautiful book about a woman doing everything in her power to love and support her husband. And despite her efforts, he end up being a spineless individual, choosing to cheat on his wife with a much younger girl and deciding to leave his wife for his new conquest.
I loved Agatha's plan of how to regain her power and choosing to teach a lesson to her very uptight, unworthy husband.
A good, easy, fast read.

This was a wonderful reimagining of what might have happened to Agatha Christie during her unaccounted for 11 days. The voice of the book is split between the current happenings from Archibald Christie’s perspective and moves to the past in the voice of Agatha Christie’s perspective. I love that it calls out unreliable narrators as this is my new favorite literary device. Especially in a thriller or mystery writing. I could not put it down and be always itching to pick it back up again when I was able. It is so far the best reimagining I have read on the subject and quite plausible. If you are a fan of Agatha Christie or just want a good read, I highly recommend this!

Agatha Christie went missing for 11 pages. To this day, it remains a mystery. Even Ms. Christie choose to skirt around those 11 days in her biography. So Ms. Benedict's fictionalized version of what took place and why Ms. Christie remained silent all these years was an interesting premise.
Told between two storylines, one from Agatha's POV that spans several years detailing the Christie's courtship, her writing her first novel, to the breakdown of their marriage and her disappearance and the second one told from Archie's POV that spans the 11 day of Agatha's disappearance.
I found the premise behind the disappearcne reasonable and clever. The Queen of mystery controlling the narrative of her story and the end of her marriage was rather brilliant actually.
The story was told with a slow burn and although the reveal was satisfying, it was a little anti-climatic.
A solid read.

I didn’t enjoy spending time with either of the main characters. Twist or no, I was rushing to the end just to be finished.

So fun to read! I am a huge fan of Agatha Christie, and even though this is fiction, it has some truth to it.
