“It’s such an odd thing, the way you can know someone so perfectly through what they read.”

I think I’d trust anyone who loves this book as deeply as I do. My first Backman and it certainly won’t be my last. The characters are so alive and I love deeply enough that I want things for them (with the exception of maybe the real estate agent). This story is masterfully woven together and the slow roll out of reveals is incredibly satisfying. Can’t recommend it enough. 

The audiobook narration was also excellent! I could see Zara clenching her jaw with every word.

This was a unique read I really enjoyed. I liked that things were all over the place between chapters, it made it a fun twisty mystery. I enjoyed the humor as well I laughed a few times. I adore the characters and the found family. I think sometimes there were emotional quotes thrown in there in places that felt a little much and some twists that didn't make since and just felt like it was for shock value. Overall fun read I could see some people loving it and people not so much.
