Very emotional read with lots of informative information on what it was like being in Afghanistan when the Taliban were raining over. 

Loved that this was a heavy, but easy read. Very well written and couldn't put it down.

My favorite book of all time. Reading the stories of two women of different generations and upbringings in Afghanistan, I was blown away by Hosseini’s ability to convey what it is like to be a woman. Content warnings should be taken seriously. This book is difficult and raw, but it is also the most touching and tender book I have read

I think this is the best book I’ve ever read. The author has the wonderful ability to evoke emotions, to portray the most cruel and unspeakable events and make you feel hopeful still, hopeful that everything will turn out okay.
