I really enjoyed this second book.
The first book wasn't bad, but I feel more of a connection with Raven in this book than I did in the first. In the first book she was somewhat of a dirt alley cat, and so it was hard to connect with that. But here, she's taking care of herself, living and working with the Keystone family, and we learn a lot more about her. However, her background is still a mystery to me. I enjoyed the banter and shenanigans between Raven and Christian. I love/hate that Ms. Dark places sexual tension between the two, but it definitely leaves room for their relationship to grow in the following books (kinda like she did with Silver and Logan in the Mageri series). I was getting very anxious when my book said that I was 97% done yet no "gnéas" happened between the two, and I was like "darn you Dannika Dark!" But I quickly recovered with the ending pages.
You did it again Ms. Dark!!
I can't wait for the third!!

Just like the first book, I was quickly sucked into the words, and I enjoyed reading every minute of it.. I can’t wait to start the next book.

There are no words that can describe this book. I do want to touch on something that left me sobbing and my heart hurting yet so full at the same time. That little crossover was such an incredible special thing to witness. Thank you Dannika for always finding precious, surprising moments to give your Mageri fans. I'm always excited to read new works, but I look forward to those crossovers and seeing how you do it. They are the most wonderful gifts you could ever give us.

With that out of the way, I am completely in love with this series. Normally I read the books as soon as they release but for some reason I held back with Crossbreed. I'm so glad I finally started it! I love everything in this world and love seeing new sides of it with each new series and getting to know new characters and live their stories.

If you haven't read a DD book, I highly recommend starting with Mageri, then Seven, then Crossbreed.

So, I love that this serious takes place in a world I already know, but also I love that is a little more focused on kicking ass and solving crimes.

It is a nice change up!

aaahhh... Christian. I really enjoyed this second in the series. Working for Keystone is strange for Raven, she's used to the streets and doing as she will, cleaning up the scum of the earth. When she finally settles in to the work of Keystone, and her partnership with Christian, she really can get down to business. It's going to take the whole team to figure this killer out, but not before traps are laid and lives are in danger. DD really takes her worlds to a new level each and every time I read her, and I can't wait for the next.
