I'm speechless. This is one of the best children's book ever. I'll definitely read this to my future kids.

the lorax is my spirit animal, I knew it when it says “he spoke with a voice that was sharpish and bossy”

Love the message in the story. So, very important. This is my 'favourite' so far from Dr. Seuss.

This a very good book. It's a classic. Good examples of the need for recycling. And clean power.

I recently learned that this book has been challenged and considered controversial. It's hard to imagine that such a sweet book could bring upon so much disapproval. If anything, I'm glad that it's ruffled some feathers. While the logging industry is necessary, research should be done to make harvesting more sustainable. I've seen ways of doing so, it just takes the drive to stand up for the environment. This is exactly what the lorax is stranding for. It is unreasonable to believe that the need for deforestation will ever go away, but that doesn't mean we should just allow things to continue on the way they have. Dr. Seuess had a knack for hiding deeper messages within his books for those willing to hear him out and take a stand.
